2009 Champs

Saturday, August 22, the first round of the 2009 club championship took place.  The weather wasn't favorable, even though the weather man had promised to cooperate.  Sunday morning, for the final round, the weather didn't look like it would be conducive to great golf, but it was better than Saturday!  The leaders, heading out on Sunday morning would prove to be the winners.  Don Kilgore was the men's leader heading out, but came in tied with Neil Nelson after the second round.  Don and Neil headed out one more time to settle the matter and Don returned as the 2009 Men's Club Champion.

The ladies' event was a little clearer, Nadine Donajkowski was in the lead on Saturday and on Sunday swept the competition by winning both the low net and low gross categories.

This was our third club championship and we have new names to engrave on the clubhouse trophy.  Following 2007 and 2008 Men's Champion, Jim Armstrong and Ladies' Champion, Kim Gorzelski, will be the names of Don Kilgore and Nadine Donajkowski.  Way to go!
